Dr. Gwinn has facilitated, administered and evaluated relationship education programs since 1999. He provides technical direction for this blog, as we help educators translate research into practice.
Beginning with parenting programs for new and expectant parents, Dr. Gwinn’s professional career has involved the delivery of family life education in a variety of settings. This includes serving the Somali refugee community in Minneapolis, and serving both urban and rural areas in Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas.
As a project manager and evaluator, Dr. Gwinn has over a decade of practical experience navigating the process of implementing community projects, and ensuring and documenting project successes. He has been a team member for five federally funded relationship education projects.
Dr. Gwinn is currently the Director of Relationship Education for The Center for Healthy Relationships, and a professor of family studies at John Brown University. He is a Certified Family Life Educator and was previously a licensed parent educator for the Minnesota Early Childhood Family Education program.
